Formerly Camp Fire Boys and Girls, "Camp Fire USA" is the new identity of one of the nation's premier youth development organization. Even though the name is new, the purpose of the organization remains the same: to serve children.

As a not-for-profit, youth development organization, Camp Fire provides programs that include mentoring opportunities through clubs, environmental education through camping, and direct child-care services. Other innovative activities include an in-school service-learning curriculum and programs designed specifically for urban youth and for teen-agers.

Big Brothers & Sisters of Texas

 is a volunteer organization that provides children support, guidance, friendship and fun by matching them to adult role models. For more than 75 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has fulfilled their mission of enriching, encouraging and empowering children to reach their highest potential through safe, positive mentoring relationships.

4-H is a part of the Cooperative Extension System, a non-profit program operated through each state's land grant university. The Extension System's staff operate 4-H offices throughout the counties of each state.

 

In 4-H, youth learn life skills they will benefit from forever. Most 4-H programs center around three areas, leadership, citizenship, and life skills.
