Description: Hot Air Balloon festival, includes Balloon glows, Arts and Craft Vendors, Food , live entertainment and MORE! The city will present a firework show on Saturday night.  Free Admission 

 

Cinema in the Circle

Cost: Purchase a Season Pass to the Spring/Summer concert series, including all Cool Thursday concerts from April 30 to July 30, or a Combo Season Pass which includes the Spring/Summer concert series as well as the fall concert series, which includes all concerts from September 17 to October 30.  One pass per person. Family, Sustaining, and Patron level memberships may purchase up to 6 tickets at the member rate. Individual memberships may purchase up to 2 tickets at the member rate.

When looking for summer fun, don't forget about City of McKinney  Parks.  McKinney parks are the best!  There's a variety to choose from - some with pools, some with baseball fields, some with picnic areas!

Kids will receive cool bookmarks, clown noses, puzzles and coloring sheets, too!

Description: Chilren ages 3 to 12 may read and/or be read to as many hours as they are old to win fabulous prizes!  Register at the Children's Desk beginning June 1st so that you can keep track of the time you spend reading.  Receive prizes after reaching your initial goal of reading your age in hours and then be entered into a drawing for each ten hours you read beyond your goal!

The 2009 Parks Concerts Series

  • Wednesday, June 10. Exall Park Rain site: Latino Cultural Center 8 – 9 p. m.

    Description: This is a series of free outdoor performances by the Symphony in Dallas-area parks throughout the spring. Produced in conjunction with the city of Dallas' Office of Cultural Affairs and Parks and Recreation, these concerts attract more than 35,000 music enthusiasts.

    Cost: Parks Concerts are free and open to the public.

Description: Free classical music programs held in the air-conditioned comfort of the Grand Hall, with beautiful views of the Texas Discovery Gardens. These family friendly concerts annually feature outstanding musicians drawn from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, the Dallas Opera Orchestra and area university faculties.
